We work closely with Banks, NBFCs, Insolvency Professionals, and Corporates across India to unlock value from stressed assets. Our focus is on the liquidation/monetization of assets under DRT & SARFAESI and sourcing suitors/investors for companies undergoing CIRP (Insolvency).
Role OverviewWe are looking for result-oriented Advocates / Legal Consultants on a freelance / mandate basis who have a strong connection with investors, stressed-asset buyers, ARC networks, and corporate suitors.
In this role, you will not be handling day-to-day litigation; instead, you will focus on asset liquidation, deal-sourcing for CIRP companies, managing auction compliance, and driving distressed asset transactions to successful closure.
Key Responsibilities- CIRP Suitor & Investor Sourcing: Identify potential strategic investors, financial buyers, or resolution applicants (suitors) for companies under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP).
- Asset Monetization: Facilitate the private sale/liquidation of stressed assets, industrial land, plants, machinery, and properties tied up under DRT/SARFAESI proceedings.
- Transaction & Auction Advisory: Assist prospective buyers in navigating bank auctions, SARFAESI private treaties, and e-auctions—ensuring end-to-end legal due diligence and compliance.
- Structuring & Documentation: Draft deal structures, Expressions of Interest (EOI), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), bid documents, and resolution/settlement proposals.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise between Resolution Professionals (RPs), Committee of Creditors (CoC), ARC deal teams, and corporate buyers to close distressed M&A / recovery deals.
Requirements & Qualifications- Education & Bar Status: LL.B. or LL.M. with active Bar Council enrollment.
- Core Experience: 3+ years in stressed assets resolution, IBC/CIRP advisory, bank auctions, or distressed M&A.
- Key Network & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of IBC processes (Resolution Plans, Liquidation, Section 29A compliance).
- Hands-on experience with SARFAESI e-auctions, private treaties, and DRT asset monetization rules.
- Active network among ARCs, stressed asset funds, real estate investors, or corporate buyers looking for distressed assets.
- Commercial acumen to structure win-win recovery/takeover deals.
