Job Description – QA/QC Engineer
Location: Coimbatore,Chennai,TamilNadu
Industry: Construction / Industrial / Commercial Projects
Experience: 8–15 Years
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to ensure quality control and compliance across all construction activities. The candidate will be responsible for inspections, testing, documentation, and ensuring works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with drawings and specifications
- Conduct inspections for concrete, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works
- Identify quality issues and ensure corrective actions
Material Testing & Verification
- Verify incoming materials and monitor testing activities
- Coordinate concrete cube tests, slump tests, reinforcement checks, and other quality tests
- Maintain test records and reports
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documents including:
- Inspection Requests (IR)
- Material Inspection Requests (MIR)
- Test reports
- NCRs and quality checklists
- Submit periodic quality reports to management/consultants
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and clients for inspections and approvals
- Ensure compliance with IS codes, project specifications, and quality standards
- Participate in quality audits and site reviews
Requirements
- Diploma / B.E Civil Engineering
- 8–15 years experience in construction QA/QC
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and quality procedure
- Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and inspection processes
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD
Preferred
- Experience in industrial/commercial projects
- Exposure to consultant/client inspections and audits
- Immidiate availability (within 15 days)
Salary: ₹4.5 – ₹7 LPA
