This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Project Manager. The position is located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Qualification:
- Construction Project Coordination, Construction Project Management, and Budgeting skills
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, especially on government projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience using Project Management software like MS Project, MS Excel, etc.
- 10+ years of experience in construction project management field.
Role Description:
The Construction Project Manager role and responsibilities shall include, but shall not be limited to:
➢ Site Management & Project Administration - oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects.
➢ Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources - prepare SOPs, WBS, and look-ahead schedules.
➢ Review tenders, study scope of work, BOQ, and issued drawings, specifications, special & general T&C.
➢ Ensure construction in accordance with engineering design, contract specifications & authority requirements.
➢ Highlight construction issues & logistical challenges that may impact project compliance or cause delays.
➢ Review & update project schedule regularly, and monitor contractor's speed & efficiency in project delivery.
➢ Co-ordinate and attend project meetings, maintain meeting minutes and agreed actions - ensure compliance.
➢ Monitor project progress on daily, weekly, and monthly basis and provide regular project updates to clients.
➢ Identify the external agencies & contractors required to execute specific construction activities.
➢ Identify reputed local construction material suppliers and procure materials well in advance.
➢ Coordinate with the suppliers for the timely delivery of the materials - Time/ Quantity/ Quality.
➢ Provide innovative engineering solutions and suggest cost control measures to ensure cost savings at all times.
➢ Verify BOQ and prepare/verify Bill of Materials (BOM).
➢ Prepare measurement book, bill, TC, Abstract, etc., and get it verified by the concerned government engineers.
➢ Ensure all store & billing activities related to materials as per site execution protocols.
➢ Work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with internal and external stakeholders
➢ Facilitate project delivery & compliance with high efficiency and optimal performance.
➢ Coordinate with material purchasers/suppliers and resolve material quality issues.
➢ Liaise with relevant authorities having project jurisdiction.
➢ Ensure project compliance as per the tender guidelines at all times.
➢ Maintain records & update documentation (Permits, Authorizations, etc.) as required.
➢ Oversee project site inspections and testing regimes.
➢ Evaluate project team performance on weekly/monthly basis - ensure SOP implementation at all times.
➢ Guide & train site supervisors, field engineers, and other subordinates.
➢ Take utmost care about the safety and cleanliness on site, and check the same regularly.
➢ Manage Defects Liability Period and Project Compliance.
➢ Any other work as per the need and requirement of the project.
