Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager / Tool Hookup professional to lead complex semiconductor facility infrastructure, tool installation and capital project activities.
This role involves end-to-end project ownership covering planning, design review, procurement, execution, commissioning and handover.
This is not a traditional civil construction / brick-and-mortar construction role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic capital projects and sustaining facility modification projects.
- Manage semiconductor tool installation projects and associated utility/infrastructure readiness.
- Drive project planning, budgeting, procurement, risk management, execution and commissioning.
- Manage project delivery against safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
- Coordinate and manage external PMCs, general contractors, consultants and vendors.
- Review MEP designs, P&IDs and cleanroom layouts.
- Coordinate with engineering, business and facility stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive timely project closure and handover.
- Act as the primary project interface for business stakeholders.
Technical Expertise
Candidates should have strong exposure to relevant semiconductor / cleanroom facility systems such as:
- Semiconductor cleanroom environments
- Hazardous and specialty gas systems
- Gas cabinets and gas distribution systems
- HVAC
- Process Cooling Water (PCW)
- Vacuum systems
- Electrical distribution systems
- Exhaust and abatement systems
- ETP and life safety systems
- SCADA / FMS
- Gas monitoring systems
- Facility automation infrastructure
- MEP design and engineering reviews
- P&ID reviews
- Cleanroom layout reviews
Candidate Profile
- 15–20 years of overall experience.
- Strong experience in semiconductor facilities / tool installation projects preferred.
- Candidates from Pharma or other cleanroom-intensive industries may also be considered.
- Strong understanding of facility infrastructure and tool installation environments is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, contractors, vendors and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand technical discussions and effectively interface with engineering and business teams.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Role Structure
- Individual Contributor role.
- No direct reports.
- Responsible for managing external PMCs, General Contractors, consultants and vendors.
- Owns overall project accountability and serves as the primary face of the project to business stakeholders.
