Role Summary:
Construction Manager responsible for end-to-end on-site planning, execution, and delivery of Petrol Stations, Refineries, Warehouses, and Residential Flats across projects in African countries, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, cost, and schedule requirements.
Job Location: Zimbabwe / Malawi
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site construction activities from mobilization to project handover.
- Plan construction methodology, schedules, and resource deployment.
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and consultants at site.
- Monitor project progress, cost control, quality standards, and HSE compliance.
- Coordinate with design teams, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Review drawings, BOQs, contracts, and manage variations and claims.
- Resolve site issues and ensure timely project completion.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 12–15 years of on-site construction experience.
- Mandatory experience in Petrol Stations, Refineries, Warehouses, and Residential Flats.
- Proven working experience in African countries
- Strong leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and contractors.
- Ability to independently handle projects in remote and challenging environments.
- Willingness to travel and relocate across African project locations
Qualification Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- PMP Certified or equivalent Project Management qualification – Mandatory Strong knowledge of RCC, steel structures, finishing works, and infrastructure.
- Good understanding of contracts, project controls, and construction management practices.
- Sound knowledge of HSE regulations and site safety management
