<div>Construction Management Corporation of America is a growing contractor serving the Chicagoland area. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on Shop Assistant to keep our operations running efficiently behind the scenes.<br><br>
</div><div>This is a critical support role for our field and mechanical teams. If you take pride in cleanliness, organization, and getting things done, this position is for you.<br><br>
</div><div>Position Summary<br><br>
</div><div>The Shop Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked shop and yard environment. This role also supports operations by picking up parts, materials, and permits and assisting with daily logistical needs.<br><br>
</div><div>This is a hands-on position working both indoors and outdoors year-round.<br><br>
</div><div>Responsibilities<br><br>
</div><div>
<em>Shop & Yard Organization<br></em><br>
</div><div>· Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional shop environment<br><br>
</div><div>· Organize tools, parts, and materials with clear labeling systems<br><br>
</div><div>· Ensure shop supplies and consumables are stocked<br><br>
</div><div>· Monitor inventory and communicate reordering needs<br><br>
</div><div>· Keep equipment parking and yard areas organized<br><br>
</div><div>
<em>Grounds Maintenance (Non-Landscaping)<br></em><br>
</div><div>· Maintain yard cleanliness (debris removal, sweeping, general upkeep)<br><br>
</div><div>· Manage scrap materials and disposal bins<br><br>
</div><div>· Keep storage containers and trailers organized<br><br>
</div><div>· Coordinate snow management as needed<br><br>
</div><div>Note: Lawn mowing is handled by an outside service.<br><br>
</div><div>
<em>Operational Support & Errands<br></em><br>
</div><div>· Pick up parts, materials, permits, and tools<br><br>
</div><div>· Deliver small equipment and materials to job sites<br><br>
</div><div>· Support mechanics and operations team with urgent needs<br><br>
</div><div>· Assist with equipment staging and preparation<br><br>
</div><div>
<strong><em>Qualifications<br></em></strong><br>
</div><div>· Valid Driver’s License (Required)<br><br>
</div><div>· Class C license or CDL preferred<br><br>
</div><div>· Clean driving record<br><br>
</div><div>· Strong communication skills<br><br>
</div><div>· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred<br><br>
</div><div>· Highly organized and detail-oriented<br><br>
</div><div>· Self-motivated and dependable<br><br>
</div><div>· Able to lift 50+ lbs<br><br>
</div><div>· Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all seasons<br><br>
