Job Description
The Construction Lead will be responsible for end‑to‑end construction execution of assigned projects, ensuring delivery as per approved scope, quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements. This role demands strong on‑site leadership, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and the ability to manage large construction teams and contractors effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Execution
- Lead and manage all construction activities from mobilization to project handover.
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Drive timely execution to meet project milestones and completion targets.
Team & Contractor Management
- Lead site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with contractors for manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity.
- Conduct daily/weekly site reviews and performance assessments.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards, safety norms, and statutory regulations.
- Enforce HSE policies and conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Address non‑conformances and ensure corrective and preventive actions.
Planning & Coordination
- Work closely with Planning, QA/QC, Design, Procurement, and PMC teams.
- Review construction schedules and proactively flag risks or delays.
- Support planning and forecasting by providing accurate execution inputs.
Cost & Resource Control
- Monitor material consumption, wastage, and site costs.
- Support cost optimization initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
- Validate contractor bills and progress claims.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact on site for clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Participate in site meetings and present construction progress updates.
- Support inspections, audits, and statutory approvals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
- 12–15 years of experience in construction execution for large‑scale projects.
- Strong hands‑on experience in managing multi‑disciplinary construction activities.
- Exposure to large infrastructure, commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed‑use projects.
- Proven experience working with EPC contractors / developers / PMC environments.
