Khalsa Inc. is a growing construction company specializing in concrete formwork, structural concrete, and large-scale construction projects across Canada. As part of our international expansion, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Pune office and support ongoing and upcoming projects.
🔹 Position Summary
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project drawings and specifications, and supporting bid submissions for concrete and formwork projects. The ideal candidate has strong experience in structural concrete, understands construction methods, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Perform quantity take-offs for concrete, formwork, and related scopes
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, and equipment
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Analyze project risks and opportunities
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and suppliers
• Maintain cost databases and historical data
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required
🔹 Qualifications & Requirements
• 5–10+ years of experience in construction estimating (concrete/formwork preferred)
• Strong knowledge of structural concrete, forming systems, and construction methods
• Hands-on experience with Doka systems and aluminum beam gang forms is highly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating and takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with gang forms, custom formwork, or high-rise concrete projects
• Knowledge of Canadian construction standards and codes
• Existing supplier and subcontractor relationships
• Engineering or Construction Management background
