Connor & Gallagher OneSource (CGO) is one of Chicagoland’s fastest-growing independent insurance brokerages, known for our collaborative culture, strong carrier relationships, and deep expertise across employee benefits, P&C, and HR services. We are expanding our Employee Benefits practice and seeking a Benefits Producer to drive new business growth and deliver high-impact consulting solutions to employers across the Midwest.
This is a consultative sales role focused on new business development, relationship-building, and delivering tailored benefits solutions. As a Benefits Producer, you will collaborate closely with account managers, analysts, and leadership to provide clients with strategic guidance and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry outreach.

Conduct needs assessments with clients to understand funding structures, claims trends, and benefit goals.

Present benefits solutions across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and HR support services.

Partner with internal teams to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and support stewardship meetings.

Build long-term advisory relationships with HR and executive leaders.

Track market trends, compliance requirements (ACA/ERISA), and carrier offerings.

Collaborate with colleagues across P&C and HR consulting to identify cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements
-
1–3+ years of experience in employee benefits, health insurance, or related sales environment.

Illinois Life & Health insurance license (or ability to obtain within 60 days).

Proven ability to prospect, cold call, and build a personal pipeline.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; comfortable meeting with HR and executive-level clients.

Highly motivated, organized, and driven to achieve sales goals.

Ability to work hybrid schedule in Lisle, IL (2–3 days per week onsite).

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional client meetings.

Legally authorized to work in the United States; no future sponsorship required.
