Responsible for various duties related to the cleaning and maintenance of assigned buildings and grounds. Performs routine repairs, installations and moves as scheduled or as necessary. Conducts preventive maintenance of equipment as scheduled.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Education: High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 2-year Grounds maintenance experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge:
- Assembly of light duty furniture, i.e. Rolling Shelving, Clinical Carts, and other related items.
- Repair and maintenance of grounds equipment, motorized and non-motorized.
- Appropriate presentation of grounds in line with organizations desired appearance,
Skills:
- Must be able to prioritize work requests and handle multiple tasks while projecting a courteous image.
- Must be mechanically inclined. Must be able to lift and manage 50lbs of weight
Abilities:
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and use basic math skills required.
- Incumbent must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment, including working weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
- Ability to work with others.
