Senior Software Engineer, Confluent Platform Frontend

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Confluent Platform Frontend team, you will help design, build, and deliver the next generation of our world-class Apache Kafka® management and monitoring console. You'll collaborate with talented engineers, product managers, and designers to create compelling user experiences that enable our customers to harness the power of Kafka. What You'll Do - Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and maintainable frontend web applications using React, Redux, and modern JavaScript - Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architecture design to implementation, testing, and deployment - Actively contribute to the technical direction of the product and drive innovation - Mentor junior engineers and help grow the technical capabilities of the team - Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to understand requirements and deliver delightful user experiences What You'll Bring - 5+ years of experience building scalable, modern web applications - Proficiency in React, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) - Strong understanding of web technologies and best practices (HTML, CSS, browser APIs) - Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing - Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders - Passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow Bonus Points - Experience with server-side rendering, WebSockets, or other advanced web technologies - Familiarity with Apache Kafka or other distributed systems - Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
