Position- Configuration Engineer
Position Summary
Experience- 4 to 7 years
We are seeking a
CPQ Implementation Specialist with strong hands‑on expertise in
Revalize Configure One to design, develop, and maintain product configurations for manufacturing and industrial products. This role is end‑to‑end:
requirements gathering, configuration development, validation, deployment, and ongoing support. You will collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, product experts, and customer stakeholders to translate business rules into robust, scalable CPQ configurations. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working with complex engineered products and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Configuration & Development
- Develop, build, and maintain product configurations, rules, pricing logic, BOM rules, workflows, and UI layouts in Configure One.
- Design and implement compatibility rules, validations, and constraint logic.
- Translate customer product structures, options, and engineering rules into accurate configuration models.
Project & Requirement Management
- Work directly with customers to gather business requirements, understand product rules, and define configuration logic.
- Analyse engineering documents, product catalogs, and pricing structures.
Testing & Quality
- Conduct validation, unit testing, and troubleshooting for configuration behavior.
- Document solutions, rule logic, and configuration structures.
Support & Collaboration
- Provide daily support, debugging, and updates for live CPQ systems.
- Collaborate with internal Product Development/Engineering teams for advanced technical needs.
- Support integrations with ERP, CRM, and CAD systems where applicable.
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with Revalize Configure One CPQ (mandatory).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL for UI customization and rule scripting.
- Experience with CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks, for interpreting product models.
- Understanding of IT networking, web technologies, and system architectures.
Domain Expertise
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering (mechanical, industrial, or related fields).
- Ability to interpret BOM structures, product options, engineering drawings, and product rules.
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with business and technical teams.
- Experience reviewing and validating customer business requirements.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical or similar preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CPQ implementation, including at least 3+ years with Configure One
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience integrating CPQ with ERP/CRM platforms (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Knowledge of APIs, scripting, or middleware integration tools.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, custom engineering, and configurable product architecture.
