About the role

Think of yourself as someone responsible for the reliability, performance, recoverability, and security of server systems and back-office applications. Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: providing engineering-level technical support to various departments and stakeholders regarding systems infrastructure and applications. You will serve as a liaison with vendors and third-party providers, operating under minimal supervision with a wide latitude for independent judgment. You will also mentor junior-level Systems Engineers and Administrators, serving as a team leader. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, design, build, and implement systems, including virtual infrastructure, network storage, end-user computing, and remote access. Engineer server systems solutions for project and operational needs. Perform Windows system engineering, design, and validation. Participate in IT technology asset architecture planning and recommend new/emerging technologies for enterprise applications. Install and configure servers, hardware, peripherals, storage, and directories following standards and operational requirements. Define, develop, and document new system deployment processes based on Systems Architect criteria. Research and recommend automation solutions for system administration tasks, identifying scalable and efficient approaches. Function as a core member of the standardization team, working with Systems Architects and Engineers to validate systems processes and deployment documentation annually. Develop high-quality technical documentation, including Visio diagrams, standard build documents, and SOPs. Document, upgrade, and configure system software supporting production infrastructure applications. Act as a liaison with vendors and third-party providers. Manage complex technical projects, ensuring clear communication with customers and project managers. Support site build-outs and projects, with up to 25% travel required. Adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements, maintaining flexibility under pressure. Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation to implement permanent fixes for technical issues. Mentor and provide technical escalations to Systems Support Engineers. Assist team members in building server infrastructure required for projects. Required Qualifications: 5-7 years of relevant experience in systems administration and engineering. 2 years of Data Center Management experience. Expertise in administering, managing, and configuring Microsoft Servers, Microsoft back-office applications, and virtualization technologies (Active Directory, VMware ESXi/VDI, DHCP, DNS, Email Systems). Strong knowledge of scripting, automation, and server architecture (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch). Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be at a C1 English level in verbal and written communication. Must upload a resume in English for consideration. Ability to manage stressful situations and adapt to rapidly changing environments. Education / Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Solutions Expert certification. Cloud Certification (AWS) is a plus. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is a plus. ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
