- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Responsible for meeting goals in 5 key areas of measurement (A.K.A. 5 Points of Excellence) to include Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory Accuracy as each relates to activities in the Pick Mod department.
- Participate in daily operations meetings providing daily STATS
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Assume/adopt resource/servant leadership style/approach in which goal is to properly use authority level to lift constraints/remove roadblocks preventing subordinate associates from realizing full potential.
- Regularly meet with subordinate associates to discuss metric results to include discussions on improvements needed to be implemented to reach higher levels of performance in all key areas.
- Help develop and maintain 5s and security standards.
- Embrace the company’s open-door policy to allow all employees to voice concerns for such issues to be easily resolved while in minor state.
- Review self and commit to improvements if subordinate associates seek other leadership assistance first.
- Be proactive in developing associates and understanding their skills and strengths and utilize such information to assign associates to specific lines/teams to result in good chemistry between team members that is required to reach the highest possible performance levels across all assigned lines.
- Must be flexible to work the hours required of this position, particularly in peak season including overtime and weekend duties.
- Be present, attentive, and prepared in all pre and post shift meetings to receive and facilitate thorough work updates and instructions.
Required Education and Experience HS Diploma/GED AA/AS BA/BS MBA/MS PHD or equivalent combination of education and experience - Minimum 3-year experience in warehouse/shipping facility and 2-years in a leadership role
