Job details:
Mission: Revolutionise the "Printability" and "Extrudability" of concrete building manufacturing platform.
The ChallengeTraditional concrete is meant to be poured into molds. We are moving beyond molds. We are developing proprietary Thixotropic Concrete Mixes that allow for high-speed concrete building manufacturing.
We need a high-agency scientist-engineer to crack the code on Rheology control, hydration kinetics, and structural buildup. You will be responsible for creating a material that is pumpable, yet instantly self-supporting.
Core Responsibilities- Material Design: Develop and optimize high-performance, fiber-reinforced, thixotropic cementitious mixes.
- Rheological Mapping: Analyze yield stress, viscosity, and "structural build-up" rates to ensure the mix meets the demands of factory-scale extrusion.
- Chemical Innovation: Experiment with superplasticizers, accelerators, and viscosity-modifying agents (VMAs) to fine-tune open time and setting speed.
- Testing & Characterization: Conduct rigorous testing (Slump-flow, V-funnel, Penetrometer, and Mechanical Strength) to validate durability and "buildability."
- Scale-Up: Transition lab-scale success to full factory production, troubleshooting the interaction between the material and the pumping/nozzle hardware.
The Ideal Skillset- First-Principles Thinking: You don’t just follow a mix-design chart; you understand the molecular interaction of cement particles and polymers.
- Deep Tech Background: Masters or PhD in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Concrete Technology with a focus on Rheology.
- High Agency: You are comfortable with "failed" experiments. You iterate fast, document meticulously, and drive toward a solution without needing a manual.
- Data-Driven: Proficiency in statistical design of experiments (DoE) to optimize multiple variables simultaneously.
Technical Tools & Knowledge- Rheometry: Experience with rheometers and specialized concrete testing equipment.
- Software: MATLAB, Python, or specialized Material Simulation software.
- Industry Context: Familiarity with 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) or Shotcrete technology is a massive plus.
Why join us? We aren't just a construction company; we are a material-science startup. You will have your own lab, a high-speed R&D cycle, and the chance to build a product that changes the global housing landscape.
Location: [Tambaram/Chennai] Requirements: Send us your research papers, your patented ideas, or a description of the most complex material problem you’ve ever cracked.
