Job Title: MySQL Database Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Setup & Optimization: Install, configure, and fine-tune MySQL databases to ensure high performance and availability.
- High Availability Solutions: Design and maintain reliable database architectures to minimize downtime and enhance system stability.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies to protect data integrity and ensure business continuity.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Utilize OCI for database provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and overall management.
- MySQL HeatWave (Mandatory): Manage and optimize MySQL HeatWave environments for enhanced efficiency and performance.
- Change Management: Execute and oversee database modifications, updates, and configuration changes in compliance with best practices.
- Release Coordination: Plan, test, and deploy database releases to ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruptions.
- Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve database performance issues while implementing best practices for optimization.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures, along with regular performance reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 6 years of experience as a MySQL DBA, with strong exposure to Oracle MySQL environments.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of MySQL installation, configuration, high availability architectures, and disaster recovery strategies. Proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and MySQL HeatWave is essential.
- Process Management: Hands-on experience in change and release management within database environments.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities with expertise in performance tuning.
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., MySQL DBA, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
