<div><strong>About the Role:</strong></div><div>Join CONCERN MOM CORPORATION as a Child Care Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in nurturing young minds while providing essential nutrition and classroom support. The Child Care Assistant (Nutrition & Classroom Support) provides nurturing care and developmental support to children enrolled at Concern Mom Soar on Eagle Wings while also preparing and serving meals for all programs. This role supports classroom operations and ensures meals are prepared and served in compliance with CACFP guidelines, center policies, and applicable state regulations. </div><div><br></div><div>
<strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong> <br><br><strong>Classroom and Childcare Support </strong>
</div><ul>
<li>Assist with supportive supervision of children during certain classroom activities, including play, meals, toileting, diapering, transitions, and rest periods. </li>
<li>Support classroom routines under the direction of Lead Associate Teacher and/or Lead Assistant Care Provider. </li>
<li>Assist with caregiving tasks appropriate to each age group. </li>
</ul><div>
<strong>Feeding & Diapering</strong> </div><ul>
<li>Prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with CACFP meal pattern requirements. </li>
<li>Managed food inventory tracking and reconciliation, monitoring stock levels, expiration dates, and usage trends to ensure compliance with CACFP meal pattern requirements and minimize waste. </li>
<li>Conducted daily point-of-service meal counts and attendance tracking, ensuring accurate, real-time documentation for CACFP reimbursement and audit readiness. </li>
<li>Coordinated and placed grocery and supply orders based on enrollment, menu cycles, and consumption data, maintaining cost efficiency and consistent meal availability. </li>
<li>Maintained kitchen organization and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with state licensing, health department regulations, and CACFP food safety guidelines. </li>
<li>Clean and sanitize kitchen and food preparation areas and equipment after meal service. </li>
<li>Prepare bottles, infant foods, and modified meals based on individual feeding plans and parent-provided documentation. </li>
<li>Perform diapering and hygiene routines in accordance with health and sanitation standards. </li>
</ul><div>
<strong>Classroom and Program Support</strong> </div><ul>
<li>Adapt to classroom-specific routines and age-appropriate practices while maintaining consistency with center expectations. </li>
<li>Assist teaching staff with activities, supervision, and daily routines when floating. </li>
<li>Support implementation of developmentally appropriate activities planned by teaching staff. </li>
<li>Assist with transitions between activities and classrooms as needed. </li>
<li>Help maintain an organized, calm, and supportive learning environment. </li>
</ul><div><strong>Health, Sanitation and Safe Practices </strong></div><ul>
<li>Follow all health, sanitation, and infection control procedures, including handwashing and cleaning protocols. </li>
<li>Clean and sanitize classrooms, diapering areas, restrooms, toys, equipment, and common areas. </li>
<li>Adhere strictly to safe sleep practices, including placing infants on their backs in approved cribs. </li>
<li>Monitor infants for signs of illness or injury and report concerns to administration immediately. </li>
<li>Ensure the infant area is free from hazards at all times. </li>
</ul><div> <strong>Family Interaction and Front-of-Center Support </strong>
</div><ul>
<li>Greet children and families during arrival and dismissal. </li>
<li>Support orderly drop-off and pick-up procedures. </li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality of child and family information. </li>
</ul><div><strong>Team Collaboration </strong></div><ul>
<li>Work cooperatively with teaching staff and administration. </li>
<li>Follow daily assignments and schedules provided by the administration. </li>
<li>Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development. </li>
</ul><div> <br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong> </div><ul>
<li>Minimum age of 18 years. </li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required unless specified by licensing for ratio in certain age groups). </li>
<li>Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification. </li>
<li>Completed Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) background check. </li>
<li>Completed Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) fingerprint-based background check. </li>
<li>Current health clearance, including physical examination and Tuberculosis screening. </li>
</ul><div> <br><strong>Preferred Qualifications </strong>
</div><ul>
<li>Experience working with children in a group care setting. </li>
<li>Coursework or training in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. </li>
<li>Familiarity with childcare food service procedures. </li>
<li>Physical and Work Requirements </li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry children as needed. </li>
<li>Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and move quickly between classrooms. </li>
<li>Ability to work both indoors and outdoors. </li>
