Key Responsibilities:
- Use Comsof Fiber Designer to develop and optimize fiber optic network designs, including both outside plant and in-building fiber systems.
- Analyze and design telecom network infrastructure for optimal performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Perform network capacity planning, traffic analysis, and provide recommendations for network improvements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that network design and specifications meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs with existing network infrastructure.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to determine the best approach for network designs.
- Work with project management teams to deliver fiber network designs within the given timeframes.
- Review and assess telecom regulatory guidelines, ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and local regulations.
- Provide support to the operations team for network troubleshooting and issue resolution when required.
- Effective and timely communication and timely escalations/mitigations should be too key for the candidate.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience in telecom network planning and design, particularly in fiber optic networks.
- Hands-on experience with Comsof Fiber Designer is a must.
- Strong understanding of telecom network principles, including fiber optic technology, network architecture, and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployment.
- Proficient in designing fiber optic networks for both urban and rural areas, considering factors like geography, customer needs, and network scalability.
- Good understanding of industry standards and best practices in network design.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in preparing network design documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
- Knowledge of telecom regulations and standards.
- Experience in working with network deployment teams.
