Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid)

The Account Consultant 1 is responsible for the initial review of incoming legal correspondence, which includes various types of subpoenas complaints and other litigation filings; curative title requests; and borrower inquiries with federally regulated response guidelines. The initial review of legal correspondence requires the CCT Account Consultant 1 to navigate internal and external legal databases and review legal instruments to ascertain ownership of the underlying property or account associated with the legal correspondence. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Research incoming legal correspondence to determine whether there is a loan-level Corporate Trust relationship. Incoming correspondence includes, but is not limited to, various types of litigation, curative title requests, borrower communications, and deal party queries. Reviews must determine the initial relation and risk to CCT.  
  • Provides responses for loan-level information requests from borrowers, deal parties, and regulators.   
  • Analyze the legal correspondence to determine potential liability and reputational risk. 
  • Records incoming legal correspondence into system of record. 
  • Assist with creation and streamlining of processes to maximize efficiency. 
  • Develop and document efficient procedures to speed up, standardize and improve

Other key skills required for the role include: 

  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience.

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $72,000-$90,000 USD.
