Role Overview
Genyx is looking for a Computer Vision Intern (MediaPipe-focused) who will work on real-time human pose estimation, hand tracking, face detection, and motion intelligence systems using MediaPipe.
This role is ideal for candidates passionate about real-time AI applications such as fitness tracking, gesture recognition, posture analysis, and activity monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop real-time applications using MediaPipe (Pose, Hands, Face Mesh, Holistic models)
- Implement pose estimation and motion tracking systems
- Integrate MediaPipe with Python (OpenCV)
- Build real-time dashboards or data pipelines from vision output
- Optimize performance for webcam/live-stream processing
- Work on activity detection and movement classification models
- Collaborate with AI and backend teams for deployment
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Hands-on experience with MediaPipe
- Good understanding of OpenCV
- Knowledge of pose estimation & landmark detection
- Understanding of basic ML concepts
- Ability to work with real-time video streams
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating MediaPipe with Flask/FastAPI
- Knowledge of WebSockets for real-time data streaming
- Understanding of fitness tracking / motion intelligence systems
- Familiarity with model deployment
Eligibility
- Pursuing or completed B.Tech/B.E. in CSE, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field
- Candidates with live project/demo will be preferred
