The Role We're seeking a skilled Computer Science Tutor to guide Grades 6–12 students through IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science with a strong focus on Python programming.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging online sessions covering computational thinking, programming in Python, data representation, computer systems, networking, databases, and cybersecurity
- Teach Python from foundational to advanced levels — variables, control structures, functions, file handling, OOP, and algorithm design
- Prepare students for IGCSE/A-Level exams with past-paper practice, pseudocode exercises, trace tables, and exam strategies
- Support students with NEA/coursework projects including planning, coding, testing, and documentation
- Use interactive tools (Replit, Thonny, VS Code) to create a hands-on learning environment
- Track progress through coding assignments, mock exams, and regular feedback to students and parents
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience teaching Computer Science within the British curriculum
- Strong Python proficiency and solid understanding of IGCSE/A-Level syllabi and exam formats
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for teenage learners
- Patient, encouraging, and comfortable with online teaching platforms
