About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAM Programmer & CNC Operator to join our production team. This is not just a desk job; it is a "hybrid" technical leadership role designed for a master machinist who excels at translating complex designs into perfect parts.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end production process from sophisticated computer-based programming in Hyper mill and SolidCAM to the hands-on operation and optimization of the machines on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Programming: Develop high-efficiency toolpaths using Hypermill and SolidCAM for complex milling and turning operations.
- Shop Floor Execution: Act as a lead operator, performing machine setups, tool offsets, and first-part inspections.
- Process Optimization: Manage the entire part production workflow to ensure maximum efficiency, reduced cycle times, and minimal waste.
- Control Expertise: Program and operate machines utilizing Siemens 810, 828, and 840 controllers.
- Hybrid Workflow: Seamlessly transition between computer-based CAM programming and machine-side adjustments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Industry Legend: 10+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machining and programming.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Hypermill and SolidCAM is essential.
- Siemens Specialist: Mandatory experience with Siemens 810/828/840 systems.
- Multi-Disciplinary: Proven expertise in both Milling and Turning / Turn-mill operations.
- Operator Roots: You must have a strong background as a machine operator and be willing to remain "hands-on" with the equipment.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be comfortable and willing to work a dedicated Second Shift schedule.
