Role Description The Computer Aided Design Draftsman is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The position involves preparing detailed technical and engineering drawings using CAD software for HVAC, fire fighting, plumbing, electrical and ventilation systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting design specifications, collaborating with engineers and project managers, updating and revising drawings based on feedback, and ensuring drawings meet relevant codes and standards. The role also requires maintaining organized drawing files, supporting documentation for project execution, and coordinating with site teams to address design-related queries.
Qualifications
- Ability to produce precise Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings aligned with project specifications.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and modifying digital drawings.
- Experience preparing Architectural Drawings and layout plans for building services.
- Strong Drawing skills, including attention to detail and adherence to industry standards.
- Diploma or ITI in mechanical, electrical or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of building services such as HVAC, fire fighting, plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, codes, and standards relevant to building projects.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Prior experience in drafting for commercial or residential building projects is an advantage.
