Title: CAD Designer – Mechanical (Fusion 360 / AutoCAD) | Intern & Experienced

DS Inventek (DownSouth Inventek Pvt. Ltd.) is a DPIIT-recognised robotics and AI education company headquartered in Puducherry, Tamil Nadu. We are World Champions in robotics, training 5,000+ students across 300+ schools. Our team builds real robots, real curriculum, and real competition systems — and we need a sharp CAD designer to be part of that.
Role: Mechanical CAD Designer
Location: Puducherry, Tamil Nadu (Hybrid)
Type: Internship (minimum 6 months) | Full-Time (experienced candidates)
What You'll Do
- Design and model mechanical components, robot chassis, lab equipment enclosures, and structural assemblies using Fusion 360 or AutoCAD
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for prototyping and fabrication
- Collaborate with the robotics and hardware team to iterate on designs based on real-world testing
- Prepare technical drawings with proper tolerances, BOM (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions
- Support development of robotics lab setups, competition robots, and educational hardware kits
Requirements
For Internship:
- Pursuing or completed a Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field
- Working knowledge of Fusion 360 or AutoCAD (either is fine)
- Passion for robotics, hardware, or product design
- Duration: Minimum 6 months | Stipend: Based on performance
For Experienced Hire:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical CAD design
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 or AutoCAD — ability to produce production-ready drawings
- Experience with fabrication processes (sheet metal, 3D printing, CNC) is a plus
- Portfolio or samples of previous design work required
- Salary: Based on experience and interview performance
