Job Summary

This course will introduce students to the fundamental concepts of logistics with an emphasis on outbound goods movement. Students will examine the techniques of organizing, analyzing, and controlling logistics systems. Topics will include supply chains, packaging, customer service, transportation, warehouse and distribution center site selection, and procurement functions.

CTE Credential in the area of Logistics Transportation Sector, or qualify for this credential based on three (3) years of full-time (paid or unpaid) industry experience (or a combination of applicable college credits and industry experience), as well as a high school diploma. The associated costs for the preliminary CTC credential will be at the employee’s expense. 2. English Learner Compliance: If you don't have an English Learner Authorization you will be required to apply for an emergency/waiver permit with the CTC as a condition of employment. During the first year of employment, you will need to earn the English Learner Authorization certificate by coursework, exam, or a combination of coursework and exam.
