The Role
We are looking for a UAV Composite & Assembly Technician capable of building aircraft structures with precision and reliability.
This is a hands-on role involving UAV airframe assembly, composite fabrication, subsystem integration, and prototype development. You will work closely with engineers to transform CAD designs and engineering drawings into flight-ready aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble UAV airframes and structural components using composite materials and mechanical assemblies
• Work with carbon fiber, fiberglass, structural foams, and aerospace bonding materials
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation for accurate assembly
• Install propulsion systems, landing systems, and payload mounts
• Perform drilling, bonding, trimming, and structural finishing of UAV components
• Conduct wiring, connector installation, and basic soldering tasks
• Perform structural inspections and quality control checks
• Support prototype builds and flight test preparation
Required Skills
• Strong mechanical assembly and fabrication experience
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• High attention to detail and precision workmanship
• Experience working with composite materials or aerostructures
• Basic understanding of structural behavior and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building UAVs, drones, RC aircraft, or robotics systems
• Experience with carbon fiber composite fabrication
• Background in aerospace or mechanical manufacturing
• Exposure to design for manufacturing (DFM) or manufacturing-oriented design
