JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a energetic and ambitious Component Engineer (BOM) & Pre Sales Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for the technical selection, sourcing, and optimization as well as preparing accurate and timely quotes for PCB & PCBA.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy customer interaction, technical discussions, and closing business opportunities in the fast-growing electronics manufacturing sector.
You will work closely with customers to understand their PCB and PCBA requirements, provide quotations, and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / PROJECT WORK
BOM & Component Engineering:
- Develop, manage, and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) for electronic products.
- Uploading BOM to Luminovo tool to identify and select electronic components (resistors, capacitors, semiconductors, connectors, etc.) based on project requirements, such as performance, cost, size, and power ratings.
- Identify components from qualified suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and availability standards
- Select right components based on pricing, lead time, and terms of service.
- Validate component specifications, compatibility, and availability with respect to production timelines.
- Check component life cycles and manage end-of-life (EOL) or obsolete components. Find suitable alternatives and assess the impact of replacing components on the design.
- Perform component life cycle management, ensuring that all components are in active production and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Update BOMs for design changes, revisions, or new product versions.
Pre Sales
a) RFQ & Quotation Management
- Handle customer RFQs (Request for Quotations) for PCB fabrication and PCB assembly.
- Understand customer technical requirements including PCB specifications, Gerber files, and BOM.
- Coordinate with PCB manufacturing partners to obtain pricing and lead time.
- Prepare and submit competitive quotations to customers.
b) Customer Engagement
- Communicate with customers to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
- Follow up with customers to convert quotations into confirmed orders.
- Support customers during prototype development and production orders.
c) Order Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Track project progress and update customers on production and delivery timelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Basic understanding of electronics and PCB technology.
· Basic PCB & PCBA manufacturing process knowledge.
· Good understanding of electronic components, component packages
(SMD, THT, QFN, BGA, etc.), and BOM structure.
· Strong communication skills.
· Interest in technical sales and customer engagement.
· Ability to understand technical specifications and product requirements.
· Good organizational and follow-up skills.

SELECTION PROCESS
The recruitment process will be conducted in the following three stages:
1. Technical Interview:
Candidate must visit to office to take interview, and interview will be conducted by the Manager --Technology. This round focuses on basic understanding of Electronics components and communication.
2. HR Interview:
The final round is the HR interview, which assesses communication skills, cultural fit, and alignment with the company’s values and career expectations. Discussions may also include role responsibilities, compensation, and organizational policies.
Each stage is designed to ensure a thorough and balanced evaluation process.
