Role Description
Rakshitam Ecofibre is seeking a full-time Compliance Specialist to join our team on-site at our Rajkot facility. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory and legal requirements, developing and maintaining compliance processes, and conducting audits. The role involves analyzing compliance risks, preparing documentation, and providing informative guidance to internal teams to maintain regulatory standards and promote organizational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the Plastic Waste Management Rules (2022 Amendment) and guidelines set by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB).
- EPR Management: Oversee the registration, data maintenance, and timely filing of annual returns on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) portal for plastic packaging.
- Sustainability Certifications: Manage the documentation and audit process for global certifications such as GRS (Global Recycled Standard), OEKO-TEX, or ISO standards.
- Internal Audits: Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing facility to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Liaison & Reporting: Act as the primary point of contact for government authorities and regulatory bodies. Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports to the management.
- Export & Trade Compliance: Verify that all recycled polyester products meet the specific compliance requirements of international markets and shipping regulations.
- Training: Educate the workforce on workplace safety, ethical standards, and environmental protocols.
Preferred Candidate Profile
✔️Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
✔️Experience: 2–3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the Textile, Plastic Recycling, or Manufacturing sectors.
✔️Legal Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Indian Labour Laws, Factories Act, and Environmental Protection Acts.
✔️Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with government compliance portals (EPR/GPCB).
✔️Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent negotiation skills for dealing with external auditors.
