Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Compliance Officer located in Rajkot. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Key responsibilities include implementing compliance programs, conducting internal audits, monitoring regulatory developments, collaborating with departments to ensure alignment with legal requirements, and preparing reports for stakeholders or regulatory authorities. The role requires a proactive approach to managing risk and ensuring the organization's activities comply with statutory standards.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strict compliance with Plastic Waste Management Rules (2022 Amendment) and CPCB & GPCB guidelines
- Manage EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) registration, data maintenance, and timely annual return filings
- Handle sustainability certification audits including GRS (Global Recycled Standard) Audit, OEKO-TEX, and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Conduct internal audits and regular plant inspections to identify compliance gaps and ensure corrective actions
- Act as the primary liaison with government authorities, CPCB, GPCB, and other regulatory bodies
- Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports to management
- Ensure export and trade compliance for recycled polyester products as per international standards
- Conduct training programs for employees on safety, environmental compliance, ethical practices, and sustainability protocols
Preferred Candidate Profile
✔️Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
✔️Experience: 2–3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the Textile, Plastic Recycling, or Manufacturing sectors.
✔️Legal Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Indian Labour Laws, Factories Act, and Environmental Protection Acts.
✔️Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with government compliance portals (EPR/GPCB).
✔️Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent negotiation skills for dealing with external auditors.
