Role Description
The Compliance officer will oversee all labour law statutory requirements, ensuring 100% compliance across company branches or client sites. They act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and proactively update internal policies to match evolving legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Statutory Compliance: Manage compliance under PF, ESIC, CLRA, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, and Shops & Establishments Act.
- Audit & Reporting: Conduct regular internal audits and vendor compliance audits; prepare and file returns.
- Legal Updates: Monitor, review, and implement changes in labour laws, including new Labour Codes, to ensure policy alignment.
- Liaison & Notice Management: Handle interactions with labour inspectors and effectively manage regulatory notices.
- Policy Formulation: Draft and update employee policies, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and employment standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: post-graduation in HR/Labour Law.
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in labour law compliance.
- Knowledge: Expertise in labour statutes, CLRA Act, and statutory documentation.
- Skills: Strong analytical, legal research, and drafting skills; proficiency in Excel and GRC tools.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong ethical integrity, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a compliance consultancy or staffing company.
- Familiarity with state-specific labour laws in India.
