About the role
Allianz Partners is strengthening its Compliance capability at a critical point of growth and regulatory change. Following a recent separation of Legal and Compliance responsibilities, this role has been created to ensure the business can continue to operate safely, credibly and in line with regulatory expectations across its in scope entities.
This is a delivery focused Compliance role. The emphasis is on identifying risk, closing control gaps, supporting audits and regulatory reviews, and ensuring compliance frameworks work in practice — not just on paper. You will work closely with senior leaders, regulators and auditors, and will be expected to exercise sound judgement, provide challenge where needed, and drive tangible outcomes.
Reporting to the Allianz Partners Regional Head of Compliance, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and visibility, contributing both locally and through a relevant Compliance Global Practice Group.
What you will do
• Lead compliance support for in scope Allianz Partners entities, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations and internal standards.
• Identify and assess regulatory requirements, risks and emerging trends, and drive mitigation actions in line with Allianz Group Compliance programmes.
• Steer the implementation and continuous improvement of compliance requirements and Group Standards across jurisdictions, working within the three lines of defence model.
• Oversee compliance related processes and controls, including participation in reviews and quality assurance activities, and drive remediation of identified gaps.
• Advise senior stakeholders on compliance risks, issues and priorities, contributing to relevant governance forums and committees.
• Support investigations and escalations in alignment with Group Investigation and Compliance teams.
• Engage with regulators and external stakeholders as required, representing Allianz Partners in a clear, credible and pragmatic manner.
• Provide compliance input to new and existing business activities, including projects and M&A related matters, in collaboration with the wider Compliance community.
What you bring
• Strong experience in regulatory compliance and risk management within a highly regulated environment, ideally financial services or insurance.
• A proven track record of delivering audit, assurance or remediation outcomes, including closing control gaps under time and stakeholder pressure.
• Confidence operating at senior levels of the organisation, with the ability to influence, challenge and advise effectively.
• Sound understanding of international compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g. insurance law, financial crime, competition, AML, conduct related regulation).
• A pragmatic, hands on mindset — comfortable moving from analysis to execution when needed.
• Strong analytical, judgement and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to non technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in international, matrixed environments and collaborating across geographies.
• A relevant university degree (e.g. Law, Finance, Economics or similar) and/or equivalent professional experience; compliance certification (e.g. ICA) is an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
