ROLE INTRODUCTION
This role will include handling all accounting requirements of clients under the group portfolio as assigned and will work towards assisting the group in completing all compliances within stipulated deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To scrutinize accounts, coordinate with clients for procuring requisite information, in order to make relevant
- disclosures as per latest Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- To finalize compilation journal entries, coordinate with the tax department for preparation of tax computation
- To prepare and maintain relevant working papers diligently
- To prepare the full set of management financial statements/consolidated financial statements for clients and for submission to statutory authorities
- To maintain records of financial transactions by posting entries, based on documents submitted by clients into an accounting software.
- To reconcile bank accounts, post year/month end entries for all accruals, depreciation or similar entries.
- To prepare Singapore GST returns for quarterly submission.
- To generate year-end financial reports for management review.
- To prepare MIS reports as may be requested by management from time to time.
- To liaise with external statutory auditors as may be required and respond to any audit queries that may be raised.
- Ensure compliance with FRS 9 in the accounting and reporting of financial instruments.
- Review classification and measurement of financial assets and liabilities in accordance with FRS 9
- Perform Expected Credit Loss (ECL) assessments and ensure appropriate impairment recognition under FRS 9.
- Support auditors with documentation related to FRS 9 financial instrument disclosures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experienced IPCC/CA Inter or CA/ACCA qualified
- Must be adept in at least one bookkeeping software other than Tally, Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Xero.
- Must possess intermediate level MS Excel and MS Word skills or equivalent.
- Able to work under strict deadlines.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of FRS 9 including classification, measurement, impairment (ECL).
- Experience applying FRS 9 in financial statements and consolidation processes.
- Familiarity with financial instruments accounting and impairment modeling.
- Since this is a remote position candidates are expected to possess/have access to the following :
- Laptop/Computer i5 or equivalent processor, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10 or equivalent OS with antivirus software
- Internet Speed of minimum 50 mbps or above
- Power Supply Uninterrupted
PROFICIENCY TESTS
There will be one test conducted during the recruitment process. They are as follows:
1. Occupational Test (1 - 2 days) - If a candidate is shortlisted, they will be presented with a set of open-ended questions that relate to the job role.
