Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for someone to: Engage with business analysts in each of the teams. The UML data requirements models need to be secured and correctly version controlled alongside any additional data related products which the team's engineers are responsible for e.g. mappings to JSON, POJO, UI screen labels, relational database models. This demands strong communication skills to establish trust with these teams and to negotiate the priority of this activity. This will also require Support in the selection and procurement of an alternative modelling tool and migrate the UML assets into a new platform. Note: we are no longer using IBM Infosphere Data Architect as the tool is end of life. This demands strong UML expertise. Establish good governance practices within each team, and coach the business analysts on how to make controlled changes to the UML data requirements models. Business Analysts may need guidance on modelling best practices including structure, naming conventions, normalisation, data type consistency etc. Raise data literacy amongst teams, by both facilitating the sharing of best practices and advocating for the adoption of the Collibra platform. This demands previous experience of coaching and educating teams particularly in Data/UML modelling, and experience in establishing best practice. The role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Business Consultant or Business Analyst and who has a level of specialism in information requirements / data requirements capture and modelling. Exposure to UML or the modelling of corporate information requirements; evidence limited engagement with business stakeholders / business analysts; have limited experience of coaching teams or establishing and driving the adoption of best practice.
