Rise In is a global developer community helping students and professionals learn Web3, build real-world projects, and connect with opportunities through hackathons, workshops, bootcamps, and builder programs.
We are expanding rapidly across India and looking for a passionate Community Manager to help us grow and engage the developer ecosystem.
Role Overview
As the Community Manager – India, you will help build and manage Rise In’s developer community across universities, cities, and online platforms.
You’ll work closely with students, builders, community leaders, professional developers and ecosystem partners to drive engagement, organize events, and support community growth initiatives.
If you enjoy working with communities, hosting events, and building strong developer relationships, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Community Growth
- Build and manage developer communities across India.
- Engage community members through online and offline activities.
- Support onboarding and retention of new builders.
- Identify and collaborate with campus leads and community ambassadors.
- Manage our ambassador program.
Events & Activations
- Organize workshops, meetups, hackathons, and community sessions.
- Coordinate logistics, communication, registrations, and follow-ups.
- Help host and moderate events when required.
- Support ecosystem and partner activations.
Community Engagement
- Maintain active engagement across Discord, Telegram, Twitter, Whatsapp and other channels.
- Encourage participation in hackathons, bootcamps, and builder programs.
- Assist developers during onboarding and event participation.
Partnerships & Outreach
- Work with universities, student clubs, and partner communities.
- Build relationships with local developer ecosystems and community organizers.
KPI Ownership
You will contribute towards:
- Community signups and active participation
- Event attendance and engagement
- Hackathon and bootcamp participation
- Project submissions and builder retention
- Expansion into new campuses and cities
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in community management, student leadership, devrel, or event operations.
- Comfortable communicating with students and developers.
- Strong execution and coordination skills.
- Interest in Web3 and developer ecosystems.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events.
Nice to Have
- Experience with communities like GDSC, MLSA, ACM, IEEE, etc.
- Previously organized or participated in hackathons.
- Understanding of blockchain/Web3 ecosystems.
- Strong network within Indian developer communities.
Compensation & Perks
- Fixed Salary: $500 / month
