Position Highlights:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pregnant women in labor by providing comfort measures and emotional support.
  • Turning and repositioning bedfast patients every two hours. Respond to call lights, bed/alarms, and, assist with transportation of patients.
  • Transporting patients or assisting patients Performs hearing screenings of all newborns per state guidelines.
  • Assist in bathing newborns.
  • Monitor maternal vital signs as requested during labor, and report results to RN or LPN.
  • Set up and maintain medical equipment used in labor and delivery procedures, including linens and stocking patient rooms. Ensure all equipment is in working order, report and remove malfunctioning equipment.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Certified Nurse Assistant, EMT, Surgical Technician certificate, or current Registered Medical Assistant highly preferred.

 

Compensation:

  • $25.00 - $28.75 per hour, depending on education and experience.
  • Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.

  • Relocation: Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.
