Job Description – Community Associate
About the role
We’re looking for a dynamic Community Associate to build and nurture a vibrant student creator ecosystem across NIAT campuses. In this role, you’ll scout and mentor emerging creators, run hands-on workshops on storytelling and content creation, and drive a steady stream of authentic student-generated content. You’ll be the bridge between campus life and digital storytelling, turning ideas into impactful reels, memes, and moments. If you’re passionate about youth culture, social media trends, and growing creative communities, this is your place!
Key Responsibilities
Build the Creator Network
- Proactively scout, onboard, and mentor student creators across NIAT campuses and partner colleges.
- Cultivate a connected, engaged creator ecosystem (WhatsApp/Discord groups, office hours, peer pods).
Run Workshops & Training
- Plan and lead on‑campus workshops on ideation, storytelling, short‑form video/reels, personal branding, and analytics.
- Develop and package playbooks, templates, and tutorial content so students can ship faster (briefs, checklists, consent forms).
Scale UGC Production
- Drive a steady cadence of student‑generated content: reels, vox‑pop/testimonials, campus highlights, and meme formats.
- Set up systems that make participation easy and repeatable (creator calendar, submission forms, SOPs).
Lead the UGC Pipeline
- Own the flow from idea → creation → review → publishing.
- Run quality checks, brand‑safety and rights/consent verification, and ensure timely approvals.
Cross‑Team Collaboration
- Partner with city Social Media Strategists and the Content Lead to amplify high‑performing UGC on brand/regional pages.
- Coordinate with campus clubs, societies, and event teams for content access and creator spotlights.
Requirements
- 0-2 years in community management, creator partnerships, campus programs, or social media growth.
- A strong grasp of Instagram Reels, short‑form storytelling, UGC trends, and youth internet culture.
- Clear, confident communicator; comfortable leading workshops and mentoring student creators.
- Hands‑on experience growing niche communities, meme pages, or student clubs is a big plus.
- Organized operator: you can run calendars, keep pipelines moving, and make decisions with data.
- Willingness to travel across campuses; occasional/weekend work during events.
- Bonus: prior experience as a creator, fluency in multiple local languages, basic design/copy chops.
