Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in New Delhi for a Communications Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liaise with Anandaya’s marketing agency on website updates and LinkedIn content, and independently manage the LinkedIn accounts of the organisation and its CEO.
2. Create original content for external communications – including field stories, case studies, blog posts, and newsletters – that brings the impact of Project Pustakalaya to life for donors and the broader public.
3. Prepare donor impact reports on a scheduled cadence, as well as one-pagers, pitch decks, and other collateral needed for fundraising and donor engagement.
4. Support the fundraising team in drafting proposals and concept notes for prospective donors, ensuring communications are well-tailored to each funder’s priorities.
5. Coordinate with program and field teams to source photographs, data, and ground-level narratives that can be used across communications channels.
6. Ensure brand consistency across all external materials – written, visual, and digital – in keeping with Anandaya’s tone and identity.
7. Track and report on the performance of digital communications – website traffic, LinkedIn engagement, and campaign metrics – and share regular updates with leadership.
Candidate Profile
1. At least 3 years of relevant experience in communications, content, or a related field, preferably within the development sector (NGOs, foundations, or social enterprises).
2. Strong writing skills in English, with the ability to adapt tone across formats – from a donor report to a LinkedIn post to a press release.
3. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with design tools (Canva or equivalent) for creating visually clean communication materials.
4. Working knowledge of SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation), and digital performance marketing principles.
5. Ability to work with data and translate program outcomes into accessible, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
6. Proactive in keeping leadership informed about agency deliverables, timelines, and the performance of ongoing communications work.
7. Comfortable working in a small, mission-driven team and willing to occasionally stretch beyond standard hours when deadlines demand it.
