About Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH)
Launched in 2017 as a first-of-its-kind initiative by the Government of Telangana, RICH has been established to bridge the gap between research and real-world applications by enabling collaboration among research and academic institutions, industry, startups, hospitals and government bodies. RICH also serves as Hyderabad’s Science and Technology Cluster, under a national initiative led by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. In this capacity, RICH drives multidisciplinary projects to address complex local and national challenges.

Role OverviewThe Marketing & Communications Intern will support RICH’s outreach, visibility, and ecosystem engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience in institutional communications, digital marketing, content development, and programme storytelling within the science, innovation, and startup ecosystem.
The intern will work closely with the communications team to strengthen RICH’s brand presence, showcase programme impact, and support marketing activities across events, campaigns, and digital platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities1. Content & Communication Support- Assist in drafting content for social media, newsletters, website updates, and programme announcements.
- Support development of success stories, founder features, and programme highlights.
- Help convert technical or programme information into clear, engaging communication material.
- Assist in preparing presentations, brochures, and outreach documents.
2. Digital Marketing & Social Media- Support planning and scheduling of posts across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
- Track social media performance and prepare basic analytics reports.
- Help maintain a content calendar aligned with RICH’s focus sectors.
3. Event & Programme Promotion- Support communication for workshops, roundtables, and ecosystem events.
- Assist in drafting event mailers, invites, and post-event summaries.
- Help coordinate with internal teams to gather information and visuals for promotions.
4. Documentation & Media Assets- Organize photos, videos, testimonials, and communication records.
- Support creation of short write-ups and captions for event coverage.
- Assist in maintaining archives of marketing and communication materials.
Skills & Competencies- Strong written English with the ability to write clearly and professionally.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Interest in science, startups, innovation, or public-sector initiatives.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and manage deadlines.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Tools (Good to Have, Not Mandatory)- Canva or other basic design tools
- MS Office / Google Workspace
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics
Qualifications- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- Prior internship, campus media, or content creation experience is a plus.
