Anecdotes is a strategic communications and positioning consultancy working with design studios, galleries, and cultural institutions. We're looking for someone to manage relationships and output for our art-sector accounts.
What this involves:
- Owning day-to-day communication with gallery, fair, and institutional clients
- Translating client needs into briefs the internal team can execute against
- Managing content calendars, editorial timelines, and campaign rollouts for exhibitions, fairs, and ongoing brand programmes
- Reviewing and refining copy before it goes out — an eye for tone matters more than an eye for adjectives
- Coordinating with designers and external collaborators to keep deliverables on schedule
- Sitting in client meetings and being trusted to represent the studio's point of view, not just relay it
Who we're looking for:
- 2–4 years of experience in account management, client servicing, or a communications/PR role
- Prior exposure to art, design, galleries, fairs, or cultural institutions is strongly preferred
- A demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines simultaneously, without things slipping
- A strong, considered sense of aesthetic — you notice restraint versus excess, know when a visual or piece of copy is trying too hard, and can articulate why something works
- Strong writing and editing instincts — you can spot generic, over-polished copy on sight, and know how to fix it
- Comfort working with brand guidelines, style rules, and editorial frameworks (tone of voice, content pillars, IP naming conventions) and applying them consistently across formats
- Experience briefing and coordinating external vendors (designers, photographers, videographers) and internal teams toward a shared deadline
- Basic fluency with social platform performance metrics — the ability to read a follower/engagement chart and draw a sensible conclusion from it, not just present the numbers
- A degree or background in communications, arts management, art history, design, or a related field is a plus, but not a requirement if the experience speaks for itself
- The candidate should be based in Mumbai
