JOB SUMMARY
The role of a Logistics/C&T (Communications & Training) Support Specialist is essential for ensuring that products are efficiently transported, stored, and delivered while also maintaining effective communication and providing training to relevant stakeholders.
COMPANY OVERVIEW
CPI Radant is the radome-and-composite‐structures division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI). We are formally known as CPI Radant Technologies Division, and we serve the aerospace, defense, naval, and commercial industries by designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting advanced composite radomes, reflectors and structural composite products.
Radomes are special “domes” made of composite materials that protect antennas and radar systems from the environment while allowing electromagnetic signals to pass. CPI Radant produces these for critical applications, meaning:
- They enable secure communications and radar/electronic-warfare capabilities for military and commercial aerospace platforms.
- Their manufacturing includes large apertures and high‐frequency performance.
- Their advances in composite manufacturing and large structures feed into modern aircraft, satellites, naval vessels, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of a Logistics/C&T (Communications & Training) Support Specialist is essential for ensuring that products are efficiently transported, stored, and delivered while also maintaining effective communication and providing training to relevant stakeholders.

Ensures shipments are processed in accordance with applicable export regulations, customer requirements, and company procedures.

Supports export shipping activities by preparing and reviewing required international shipping documentation.

Coordinates with internal departments to ensure export shipments meet routing, documentation, and regulatory requirements

Verifies shipping paperwork accuracy including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and carrier documentation.
- Assists with AES filing preparation and other export-related shipping transactions as required.
- Maintains shipping and export records in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Works with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to support on-time domestic and international shipments.
- Identifies and escalates shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, or compliance concerns to supervision.
- Follows established export, transportation, and hazardous material handling procedures where applicable.
- Processes outgoing shipments and packages products for shipment by determining proper packaging and cushioning
- Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping duties such as determining proper carrier and routing and preparing paperwork for shipments
- Uses computer system for routing, tracking, and processing of shipments
- Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements
- Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications
- Reports materials shipped and bills of lading; post weight and shipping charges and route merchandise to destinations
- Communicates clearly with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers
- Helps set and work toward team goals
- Coordinates and prioritize individual daily activities
- Supports continuous improvement activities
- May handle and process classified material
- Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift or other power industrial vehicles
- Perform other duties as needed
- Salary: $25 - $30 / hour
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Substantial acquaintance with clear understanding of general aspects of shipping process with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job
- Detailed focused
- Basic computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to obtain or provide information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation
- Ability to work in a team environment to ensure all objectives are met for the work group
- Clear supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments
- Clear organizational skills as well as clear customer service skills
- Ability to manage time and priorities

Basic knowledge of export shipping documentation and international transportation processes preferred

Familiarity with ITAR/EAR shipping environments and government-related shipping requirements preferred

Experience working with freight carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping systems preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Certification in assigned area is preferred, if appropriate.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Bending, squatting, standing, climbing, and walking may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to obtain forklift license may be required.
This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person as defined under ITAR and EAR.
