The Application Analyst II partners with business stakeholders to optimize and support enterprise applications across CRM, ERP, and engineering systems. This role owns day-to-day application support for Salesforce and SolidWorks environments while also supporting underlying SQL Server databases and light server maintenance activities. The position requires a strong systems mindset and the ability to troubleshoot across application, database, and integration layers within a manufacturing environment.
This role will serve as a key technical liaison between business users and IT, ensuring application reliability, data integrity, and system availability.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Serve as the lead technical owner for Salesforce, SolidWorks, Experlogix and Autotime as well as associated enterprise systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and strategic alignment with business needs.
- Lead cross functional application projects, including requirements definition, solution design, resource coordination, and delivery oversight.
- Own the design and governance of integrations and data flows across Salesforce, SolidWorks, ERP, SQL Server, and other business platforms.
- Partner with business leaders to translate strategic priorities into technical roadmaps, process improvements, and long term system architecture recommendations.
- Manage SQL Server environments at a higher level, including performance tuning guidance, advanced query optimization, security alignment, and coordination of major maintenance cycles with database teams.
- Oversee database management practices such as backup strategies, restoration testing, index tuning, and broader data reliability policies.
- Provide oversight of server and infrastructure components that support application ecosystems, including service uptime monitoring, patching coordination, and capacity planning in partnership with infrastructure teams.
- Lead data management initiatives including data governance, migration strategy development, quality stewardship, and continuous improvement of data lifecycle processes.
- Drive end to end testing strategy, including test plan creation, regression oversight, and validation of complex releases across integrated systems.
- Deliver advanced user enablement, including creating training frameworks, mentoring super users, and ensuring adoption of new system capabilities.
- Produce and maintain high quality technical and functional documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational standards.
- Mentor junior analysts, provide peer review of technical work, and help shape team best practices and standards.
- Proactively identify, design, and lead initiatives that improve system reliability, automation opportunities, operational efficiency, and enterprise application maturity.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 7-10+ years of experience in an Application Analyst, Systems Analyst, or equivalent technical role supporting enterprise applications.
- Deep hands on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM ecosystems, including system administration, configuration, automation, and release management.
- Experience supporting SolidWorks or engineering systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, data structures, database security, and performance optimization concepts.
- Demonstrated expertise with system integrations, APIs, and cross platform data workflows.
- Experience managing servers, application life cycles, and coordinating infrastructure aligned support activities.
- Proven track record leading application or technology projects from initiation through deployment.
- Strong ability to translate complex business processes into scalable technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, lead discussions, and guide technical decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and contribute to building a high performance application support organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM, PLM platforms, or engineering data management.
- Experience supporting ERP platforms such as JD Edwards.
- Exposure to database administration or server infrastructure operations.
- Background in a manufacturing or engineering‑driven environment.
- Experience leading modernization, migration, or digital transformation initiatives.
