Job Title: Head - Communication Strategist
Job nature: Client facing role
Working Hours: 10:30 AM 7:30 PM (Alternate Saturdays are Working)
Qualification: MBA or advanced degree from top communication schools such as MICA, with certification in communication/content strategy/digital marketing preferred
Location: Andheri West, Mumbai (On-Site)
Travel: Occasional travel required for client meetings
Role Overview:
Join our fast-growing digital agency as a strategic leader driving creative communication and revenue growth. This is a dual-role position that combines strategic thinking, creative leadership, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable crafting compelling brand narrative pitch decks and closing high-value client partnerships.
Perfect for a high-potential MICA/XIC or similar alum ready to own client strategies, lead pitches, and build the agencys future.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a creative field preferrable a digital marketing agency in a client facing environment
Proven ability to manage client onboarding, engagements, relationships, and retention and contribute to business growth
Experience in taking initiatives, making strategies and building new business for the company.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting with cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities
1. Communication Strategy & Creative Leadership
Lead overall communication strategy for existing clients across digital and integrated platforms.
Develop creative concepts, campaign ideas, and detailed campaign briefs.
Conduct category, competition, and consumer research to inform strategy.
Drive 360-degree marketing thinking across digital, content, media, and brand experiences.
Collaborate with creative and client servicing teams to deliver high-quality, insight-driven work.
Review and approve all key creative outputs before client presentation.
2. New Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through LinkedIn, personal networks, inbound leads, and performance channels.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Lead end-to-end pitch development, including strategy, storytelling, and presentation.
Present ideas and proposals confidently to senior client stakeholders.
Convert leads into long-term client relationships.
3. Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with client servicing, creative, and performance teams to align strategy with execution.
Mentor teams on strategic thinking and idea generation
Act as a strategic voice within the agency and in client interactions.
KPIs
New client wins and revenue from leads.
Client retention rates.
Campaign effectiveness and creative quality.
Personal pitch conversion targets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Recent graduate/PG from MICA, XIC, or equivalent top brand communication/strategy programs (graduated 20192023 preferred).
3 to 7 years in digital agencies, brand strategy, or marketing roles mix of strategy, creative, and client-facing work.
Track record of idea generation, excellent pitch presentations, campaign briefs, and research-driven strategies.
Experience in new business (LinkedIn outreach, pitches, lead conversion) is a big plus.
Self-starter with entrepreneurial energy, excellent storytelling, and client-facing confidence.
Portfolio showing bold 360° ideas and business impact.
An ideas-first thinker with a sharp understanding of brands, culture, and digital ecosystems.
