Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer – Vault

Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Business & Team: CTO- Cloud Integration

Impact &contribution: The cloud movement at CommBank is going strong and continues to grow. We’re looking for out of the box thinkers who want to use technology to work on real-world problems that have the potential to change the lives of our 17 million+ customers.

The successful applicant will join a team tasked to manage the Event Streaming Platform for the bank. On-prem and in Cloud. You will be expected to continually improve the services through DevOps model, build the cluster and ensure the platform is running 24*7.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Ensure the platform is running24/7 and respond to incidents as needed.
• Design and build all aspects of an enterprise platform, e.g. tooling, CI/CD, Security, Observability.
• Coach other engineers to uplift the engineering quality and velocity.
• Share engineering knowledge through presentation, blogs, videos with the broader engineering community.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and team to create relevant engineering roadmaps.

Essential skills:

• Looking for 8+ years of experience.
• Have a growth mindset and can drive continuous improvements.
• Hands on working experience in AWS.
• Hands on working experience with scripting/programming languages Python and Golang is a must, Any additional scripting /programming languages such as Rust, Typescript is desirable but not must.
• Highly proficient with versioning systems and CI/CD tools like; GitHub Github Action, Artifactory, ArgoCD.
• Highly proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools like; AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform/Ansible
• Have very good understanding of Docker container and Kubernetes technology.

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
