Job Description | Commodity Operations Executive
Position: Commodity Operations Executive
Experience: 2 to 5 Years
Location: Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end delivery and settlement operations across commodity exchanges, including Spot and Futures.
- Process client trade punching and ensure timely and accurate trade execution.
- Manage MCX and NCDEX trade settlement activities in compliance with exchange guidelines.
- Monitor commodity stock inventories and track price movements of underlying commodities.
- Coordinate with the Risk Management (RMS) team for client trading limits and margin requirements.
- Procure exchange-approved quality commodities from mandis and oversee warehousing, logistics, revalidation, and final realization.
- Manage commodity pledging and ownership through COMRIS and Comtrack platforms.
- Process COMRIS activities including:
Commodity Pledging
Withdrawals
Early Pay-in
Transfers
Deposit Requests
Pending Acceptance
- Track exchange delivery intentions and submit delivery instructions on behalf of clients.
- Liaise with commodity exchanges for settlement, delivery, and operational queries.
- Prepare daily MIS reports for the RMS team, including margin and settlement reports.
- Coordinate with the IT/System Administration team for operational and system-related changes.
- Work closely with internal departments and clients to ensure smooth execution of commodity operations.
- Ensure compliance with exchange regulations and internal operational procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in commodity operations with a stock broker or commodity brokerage firm.
- Hands-on experience with MCX, NCDEX, COMRIS, and Comtrack.
- Good understanding of commodity delivery, settlement, warehouse receipts, and exchange processes.
- Strong knowledge of RMS, margins, pledging, and commodity lifecycle management.
