Role Summary:
We are looking for passionate and skilled Commis Chefs to join our kitchen team across South Indian, Indian/Tandoor, and Bakery sections. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes as per standard recipes while maintaining high standards of hygiene, consistency, and kitchen discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes as per standard recipes and portion sizes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all orders.
- Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities.
- Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen section and maintain personal hygiene at all times.
- Follow food safety standards, FSSAI guidelines, and kitchen SOPs.
- Maintain proper storage, labeling, and temperature control of food items.
- Handle raw materials and ingredients responsibly to minimize wastage.
- Report stock shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and dispatch of orders.
- Adhere strictly to kitchen operational procedures and company guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of South Indian, Indian/Tandoor, or Bakery operations.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours when required.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma / Certification in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Bakery & Confectionery, or related field preferred.
- Relevant hands-on kitchen experience will be an added advantage.
