Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commis Chef – Asian Dim-Sum, based in Madikeri. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and cooking of high-quality Asian dim-sum dishes, adhering to strict hygiene standards, and supporting senior chefs with day-to-day kitchen operations. The Commis Chef will ensure all ingredients are correctly handled and prepared according to the hotel's standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Food Preparation and high standards of Hygiene practices
- Strong Cooking skills with expertise in Culinary Skills relevant to Asian cuisine, particularly dim-sum
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and adhering to instructions
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Formal culinary training or relevant experience in Asian cuisine is preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
