Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commi Chef – Bakery & Pastry at Neon Market in Bengaluru South. The selected candidate will assist in preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads, and other bakery items, ensuring quality and consistency. Responsibilities will include measuring and mixing ingredients, following specific recipes, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and supporting the Head Chef in executing daily kitchen tasks. The role also involves adhering to standard food safety practices and maintaining an organized inventory of baking supplies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in baking and pastry making, including bread, cakes, cookies, or other baked goods
- Knowledge of maintaining food safety standards, quality control, and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients accurately, and assist efficiently in food preparation
- Strong time management skills and capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- A genuine passion for bakery and pastry, with creativity in recipe preparation and presentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow instructions from the Head Chef
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is preferred but not mandatory
- A culinary diploma or certification in baking and pastry from a recognized institution is an advantage
