Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commi 2 role based at Siddharth – The Fern, Jalna. The Commi 2 will support the kitchen team in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to established recipes and standards. Responsibilities include basic mise en place, assisting in various kitchen sections, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, and ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients. The role involves following food safety guidelines, minimizing wastage, and coordinating with senior chefs during service to ensure timely and consistent food quality. The Commi 2 will also participate in stock rotation, help with inventory checks, and support special events, banquets, and high-volume operations as required.
Qualifications
- Foundational culinary skills in basic food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating, with the ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and cleanliness practices in a professional hospitality environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, follow instructions from senior chefs, and coordinate with team members during peak service hours.
- Good time management, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and rotate across different kitchen sections (hot, cold, bakery, banquets, etc.).
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred; prior experience as a Commi or trainee in a hotel or restaurant is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays, with a professional attitude aligned with the hotel’s sustainability and guest service standards.
