Role Description The Commi 1 role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. The Commi 1 will support daily kitchen operations, including assisting in food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes to café standards. This role will help maintain kitchen hygiene, organize ingredients, and ensure timely preparation of menu items, including European-style baked goods and café food offerings. The Commi 1 will work closely with senior kitchen staff, follow recipes and instructions, manage basic mise en place, and coordinate with front-of-house team members to support smooth service. The position involves working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Strong food preparation and cooking abilities, with solid foundational culinary skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and cleanliness best practices.
- Clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with kitchen and café staff.
- Previous experience in a café, bakery, or restaurant kitchen is preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently while maintaining quality standards.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a startup environment.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and handle a fast-paced service environment.
- Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
