FLSA STATUS: This is a full-time, hourly; non-exempt position
TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBD
JOB PURPOSE: Distribute pool towels to resort guests and provide them with a warm and sincere welcome. Monitor and ensure the return of resort property.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet guests immediately with a sincere and friendly welcome. Assist guests with their needs related to the pool area. Respond to guest requests, comments, and concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the general pool area, fitness center, and restrooms, including emptying used pool towel bins, organizing pool furniture, collecting towels, and neatly arranging the pool towel storage shelves.
- Confirm guest registration prior to issuing resort property
- Assist in booking and coordinating pool cabana reservations
- Responsible for monitoring product inventory in order to minimize the loss of resort property.
- Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to the security department
- Attend all mandatory meetings
- Provide general public assistance, instruction, and/or guidance for guests
- Keep work area neat and organized
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- Must be at least 16years of age.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with resort guests and other team members
- Ability to distribute and accurately monitor resort property
- Ability to extend arms, stoop, stand, bend, and walk in public areas for extended periods of time
- Ability to maintain the integrity of usage of the pool area by resort patrons only
- Ability to read reports
- Ability to write sign-out logs and monitor inventory
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED or in the process of achieving either of them
- Customer service experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standing/Walking: 100%.
- Ability to grasp, lift, push, pull, and carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
- Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop, and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift.
- Shift work required. Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
